Abstract
Avabhauka is vataja nanatmaja vyadhi, while others believe it to be a vata kaph Pradhan vyadhi. Avabhauka primarily affects the amsa sandhi & often manifests with symptoms in the bahu. It are commonly associated with severe pain that disturb sleep, as well as losses of Bahu prasapandan, stambha & shoola in the shoulder joint, which are the main characteristics of this condition. In Ayurveda Avabhauka is described in vataj roga. In which, due to hetu Sevan vata dosha get vitated – enters in Amsasandi causing sira-sankoch. As per modern science Avabhauka can be correlated to Frozen shoulder.
Materials & methods: Total 60 patients of Avabhauka were selected randomly, which is then divided into two equal group i.e 30 patients in each group. Giving intervention by Aseetak choorna orally and Sahacharadya oil locally for group A and Tab Aceclofenac orally & Diclofenac 1% gel locally for group B for 45 day’s treatment and followed up taken for post theraphy 45 days. Analysis of all patient were done and after that result and conclusion were drawn.
Result and Conclusion: Aseetak choorna orally & Sahacharadya oil locally & Tab Aceclofenac orally and Diclofenac 1% gel locally both are effective in the management of Avabhauk to reduce signs, symptoms .On the basis of overall percent relief , Aseetak choorna orally & Sahacharadya oil locally has found more effective than that of Tab Aceclofenac orally and Diclofenac 1% gel locally in the management of Avabhauka.
