The Agnidipan Karma of Narsimha Churna on Kaphajdushtijanya shukra dhatu vikar w.s.t Asthenozoospermia : A Case Study.

Abstract
Introduction: WHO has recognized infertility as a public health issue Male infertility is responsible for 30–40% of infertility cases. Prevalence rate of Asthenozoospermia in India is around 19%. The most common identifiable factors of male infertility are Oligozoospermia, Asthenozoospermia, Teratozoospermia, Azoospermia due to Varicocele of testes, infections, Hormonal inbalance, Defects of tubules that transport sperm.and other. Narsimh Churnam is used as Rasayan and Vajikaran since long time for number of ailments. However the scientific evidence on its possible safety and efficacy in male infertility is not studied in detail.
Aim: To Assess the Agnidipan Karma of Narsimh Churna on shukra dhatu in men with Asthenozoospermia.
Methodology: Ayurvedic and modern text books, authoritative pages, research journals, Published literature in Pubmed, Scopus and reports of semen analysis.
Results: Vajikaran Kalp like Ashwgandha ghrit, Kauncha pak, Musali pak commonly used for treating male infertility. In Asthenozoospermia, total motility of sperms is less than 40%. According to Ayurveda it is Kaphajdushti retas vikar which is Agnimandyajanit Vyadhi. Main Ingredients of Narsimh Churna are Chitrak, Bhallatak phal churn, Trikatu, Til, Guduchi, Shatavari, Cow’s ghee, Goshur, Varahikand so it is the best Agnideepak, Aamachan, Strotovibandhanashak, Shukraposhak, Shrukravriddhikar and Shukrarachak. Narsimh Churnam is remedy for boosting the health of male reproductive system, improves Spermatogenesis and ejaculation of sperms.
Conclusions: Narsimh Churnam should be used to treat male infertility due to Asthenozoospermia.
