Abstract

Palash is a Butea monosperma.It is medium size deciduous tree which is widely distributed throughout the greater part of india. Palash belongs to family Fabaceae and its popularly known as flame of forest is being used in traditional medicine.it has been found to have antimicrobial,wound healing,antifungal,antidiarrhoeal,hypoglycemic.It contain butrin,isobutrin,palashtrin and butein.The wide spread uses of palash in traditional system of medicine have resulted in their extensive chemical analysis for their bioactive principle.This article briefly review of pharmacology of palash seed and its effect on krimi.
