Abstract

Abstract-

Introduction: Pesticides are a family of compounds that have brought many benefits to mankind in the agricultural, industrial, and health areas, but their toxicities in humans and animals have always been a concern. Pesticides are well absorbed through skin, oral, and respiratory mucosa. Most of the population is exposed indirectly due to the consumption of green vegetables, fruits, etc or water already exposed to pesticides. In Ayurveda, the accumulation of any poison (Sthavar Jangam and Kritrim), such as pesticide, is considered a Dushi visha. In Ayurveda text, many drugs and formulations have the potential to neutralize the effect of pesticide residue and treat the harmful effects of the pesticide. Therefore, this study concludes with the pesticide, pesticide residue, its harmful effects, and treatment with ayurvedic drugs and formulation.
